The Senior Process Safety Engineer will lead process safety initiatives at the Beaumont, TX plant, ensuring compliance with OSHA PSM, RMP, and company safety standards. This role serves as the site’s Process Safety Authority and Subject Matter Expert (SME), driving a strong safety culture, managing PHAs, MOCs, and PSI, and overseeing audits, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include maintaining safety-critical systems, alarm management, and risk management plans, as well as providing regional support and representing the company in industry associations. The position requires collaboration across departments and occasional travel to other sites.
Job task include but not limited to:
- Lead OSHA PSM compliance efforts and foster a proactive process safety culture
- Own and maintain the Management of Change (MOC) system and ensure timely closure of action items
- Manage Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and related action items
- Maintain accurate and compliant Process Safety Information (PSI)
- Oversee Safety Critical Safeguards (SCS) and alarm management programs
- Monitor regulatory changes and maintain Risk Management Plan (RMP) compliance
- Conduct audits of process safety systems and ensure timely gap closure
- Lead or support incident investigations and share learning

Develop and facilitate PSM training programs for site personnel

Manage process safety contractors and resources
Required Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred)
- 6–8 years of Process Safety Management experience in chemical or petrochemical environments
- OSHA PSM and environmental regulations
- LOPA methodology (preferred)
- SIL calculations and dispersion modeling (preferred)
- Ability to troubleshoot chemical processes
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across all levels
