R&D Chemist (Tapes and Labels) Job

Mission Details

  • Ensure R&D activities in compliance with HSEQ and operational requirements.
  • Ensure product development projects strictly following the Stage-Gate process.
  • Ensure product development project output/milestone in timely manner with good quality and efficiency.
  • Product Development:  Develop new products for different markets, Learn DOE tools and try to use it for formula design, follow Bostik project management tools (stage gate, clarity, etc).
  • Technical Assurance:  provide technical support to target/potential customers and Bostik manufacturing plants.  Responsible for scale up of new products from laboratory to full commercialization. 
  • IP: Develop new formula/new process/new applications/new tools/new test methods based on patents/pater study in related areas.
  • Business Development:  Work with Marketing/Sales or customer base to develop and test products for new applications and evaluate new market opportunities.
  • Knowledge management: Deliver project documentation and communication in the form of internal technical reports/presentations and external publications (when appropriate);
  • 5S: Be a good 5S team member.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports as required.
  • HSEQ: Follow up Company HSEQ policy and procedure; Timely report out if have any concerns about HSEQ; Adhere to the operation concept of energy saving and environmental protection.  Implement basic energy-saving awareness in daily work and support the company's energy saving and environmental work.
  • Others: Complete other tasks assigned by line manager

Required Profile

  • BSc/BE or above, in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field required.
  • >3 years of experience in chemical application/research, in a chemistry-related company
  • Knowledge in product development, stage gate tools and in application field for that market
  • Creative and innovative.
  • A team Player
