This Position Reports to the Production Shift Leader

 

Job dimensions

Jobholder will be packaging Durastrength and Plastistrength products. The product is produced as a latex in Reactors in a batch process. The Latex is then dried in a continuous process and packaged into several different package sizes. Trouble shooting to correct problems within their work area is critical. Needs good communication skills and able to work well with others. All job functions must be conducted using all safety and environmental procedures and systems.  Accurate reporting and manual data entries is critical.  Jobholder needs to be self-motivated and require little supervision. 

 

 

Activities

Jobholder will be packaging product into several different package sizes. Jobholder will be required to operate machinery that is operated from PLC control as well as other mechanical means. Several entries onto packaging log sheets is required and good organizational skills is a must. It is critical for the Operators to stay in constant communication wit the Control Room and Field Operators for safety and proper operation of the unit. Experience in operating a Fork Lift is a must for the job. Jobholder will be working using procedures, temporary procedures, and MOC’s. They will need to trouble shoot to correct problems within their work area. 

 

Context and environment

The environment for this position will be within the Production Department. Training will be conducted within the Production and Safety departments for all requirements to fulfill this job.

Complete *assigned training through Training Mine or attendance to assigned Web-Ex or Instructor Led Training (ILT) classes.

Qualifications / experience required

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Good inter-personal and communication skills.

Good understanding of production processes.

Does not require constant supervision.

Requires a degree of self-motivation.

Minimum of one year experience with use of Fork Lifts.
