Position reports directly to the Alsip Logistics Leader.

The job holder’s primary responsibility is management over all containerization of finished products.  Has a direct interaction with the site management team including production, logistics, quality, engineering, maintenance, and HES.


What you need:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain discipline (preferred)
  • Demonstrated competencies in team leadership, Excel, problem solving, and decision making
  • Minimum 3 years Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Logistics experience
  • Previous MRP experience, SAP experience preferred
  • ERP / MRP Working Knowledge:  Utilize Master Data fields, physical inventory checks and canned data warehouse reports to monitor, resolve, and report timeliness and accuracy performance of the ERP transactions of each facility. 
  • Data reporting and analyses:  Utilize the business’ data warehouse and canned report queries along with Excel, to generate, analyze, communicate, and visualize data trends and data accuracy improvement opportunities.
  • Highly motivated team player able to work at a fast pace


What you will do in this role:

70-80% - Containerization

  • Truck Operations (loading/offloading/shuttling/SW fleet trailer cleaning/trailer storage capacity planning & allocation/inbound, local, and In Plant trailer tracking/compliance to Transactional Service Standards/On-time shipping metrics/local carrier terminal manager relationships)
  • Coordinate package good shipments.
  • Accountability for the relationship management and operational performance of the local outbound carriers.
  • Responsibility for communication of shipping exceptions that can or will result in a negative customer experience to the supply chain team and CSR’s.
  • Printing packaging labels and SAP shipping paperwork, with eventual vision to train and delegate these responsibilities to Warehouse employee(s)

20-30% - Supply Chain Support

  • Active participation in the Supply & Operations Planning processes
  • Maintain relationship with large strategic customer through direct communication and managing customer inventory levels. 
  • Acts as backup to Production Data Analyst
  • General SAP problem solving; including inventory issues, system glitches, etc.
  • Participating in the business’ customer-focused teams/processes to share plant operations learnings and leverage best practices.

1-10% - General Duties

  • Supports all AIMS initiatives
  • Comply with the HSEQ Policy.
  • Comply with Regulations, Legal and Internal Requirements as made known by the site and by the business unit (BU).
  • Comply with the rules of the specific location to which one is assigned as well as the rules set by the business unit (BU) and Arkema Inc.
  • Comply with all standard procedures and work instructions, aka SP, SOP, PWI, TM, to ensure productivity, quality assurance and cost effectiveness.
  • Review their work areas for potential losses and Report hazards to the direct supervisor.
  • Report Near Misses to the direct supervisor.
  • Report Incidents or Accidents to the direct supervisor.
  • Identify and communicate potential gains or possible improvements to the management system.
  • Participate in HSEQ activities provided by the site management, Arkema Coating Resins and Arkema, Inc.
  • Ensures workplace safety by conducting safety observations and reviews while adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
