We are looking for a Category Manager Traded Goods for our headquarters in La Défense.
Your main responsabilities will be :
• Build and implement renewed sourcing strategies on Traded Goods categories.
• Define homogeneous key sub-categories within the Traded Goods category in alignment with the business as to build and implement the sub-category strategies.
• Optimize the supplier panel based on optimal conditions (launch tenders, negotiate price & contract, make or buy analysis, portfolio rationalisations, product & logistical optimisations, cash management, etc.).
• Drive structural productivity leading (part of LEAP programme) to pre-agreed Year-Over-Year savings over the category spend.
• Build & maintain a clear insight into the suppliers and upstream markets, to prevent price/supply risks that can negatively affect the competitive position of Bostik. Rationalise the supply base.
• Enhance the sourcing performance of 3rd party suppliers via co-sourcing of shared Raw and Pack materials. Asses make – buy opportunities and implement.
• Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Manage supplier performance in line with the Category strategy in terms of: Security, CSR, PSRA, Cost, Quality, Service, and Manage structural supply issues: Security, quality, service & inventory.
• Networking: maintain and develop relationships with global & local suppliers and internal stakeholders to find opportunities that can grow the category.
• Support sales in bringing promotions, bonuses, exclusive arrangements, etc.
• Contribute to the rationalization of product portfolio
• Support Team: coordinate workload with other team members, behave like a team player, pro-actively support team members. Coordinate operational buyers in the countries
• Provide monthly reporting including KPIs to measure Savings and Performance
Profil Recherché
The profile we are looking for :
• Bachelor or MBA Degree preferred.
• >8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Procurement skills, Negotiation skills / Influencing skills
• Financial aptitude, good business understanding
• Analytical & structured
• Entrepreneurial / “can do” attitude, ability to work in a non-structured environment
• Good balance between hands-on mentality and high-level vision
• Communication / Interpersonal skills / Presentation skills
• Commitment to deliverables and deadlines
• Willingness to travel within Europe at least ~ 25%-30% of time.
• Background in chemical business preferred
• Language skills: fluent in English (both verbal and written)
