Site Manager

Your future responsibilities :

Reporting directly to the Operations Director_IA Asia, you will work closely with local, regional and global operations management. The role also liaises with local government and relevant authorities. You will be dealing with a fast moving market, new products/requirements and managing around 20 employees. A good part of your time will be spent in the field (desired: + 40%.)

Your objectives will be to ensure that operational activities comply with ARKEMA and local government regulatory policies and practices, to ensure the achievement of operational objectives in terms of HSE, quality, service, cost and productivity.

You will also ensure the implementation of CAPEX projects on site, fully support the project manager and provide timely feedback on long and short-term strategy.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Functions: 
-Develop, institute and carry through an ever- improving EHS Program to achieve the ultimate goal of ZERO Safety and Zero Environmental incidents.
-Ensure current practices and procedures are compliant with “Local Regulations for Occupational Health , Safety , and Environmental Compliance, as well as directives of ARKEMA/Bostik.  Must be able to lead and make decisions without compromise on EH&S compliance 
-Lead adherence to the Quality Management System and improvement in the Quality Index
-In coordination with R&D, support new product introduction stage gate process and continuously improve existing products.
-Develop programs, policies and procedures to continuously improve the quality and productivity of the plant while meeting trade working capital targets.
-Work closely with Customer Service, Marketing and Sales to achieve the best On- Time Delivery results while meeting the financial and inventory goals of the plant
2. Strategy: 
 -Assist in the creation of the organization’s vision and growth strategies and execute the business and operations plans at the plant to achieve revenue, profit, and performance targets.  This includes the management and execution of a capital plan.
- Develop and implement a Maintenance and Capital investment plan that ensures the safe and efficient asset Management to meet short and long term reliability and growth plans for the business targets.
3. Team management:
- Lead and develop operations team to optimize organization structure and ensure they are qualified and motivated.
-Fostering an environment of continuous improvement where all associates are involved in the improvement process and there is constant interaction with plant leadership and associates on the floor.
4. Budget: 
Work out with other departments the budget for site to meet company objectives in safety, health, environment, quality, service, cost and productivity.

5. System and procedures: 
- Optimize systems and procedures to comply with legal, corporate and customers’ requirements, control risk, and improve efficiency.
- Direct Leadership for implementation of Crackless Monomer Development Project
6. Capex: 
Take a lead in developing and implementing CAPEX plan to support compliance, profitability and growth.
7. Communication: 
- Regular communication with regional / worldwide headquarters/ affiliates to share best practices.
- Frequent communication with APAC IA team with travel needed
8. Management representative: 
To fulfil MR’s obligations and rights, The MR is responsible for the implementation and communication of HSE&Q policy in site.
9. Other:
-Be Site Approval for employee attendance, overtime, salary change, allowance/incentive scheme, purchasing requisition/order, contracts, payment, MOC and other site related change document.
-Coordinate and Management of Site Operations activities in cooperation with JV Management 
-Monitor and review import and export activities of compliance matters
-Follow up Company HSEQ policy and procedure
-Timely report out if have any concerns about HSEQ

The profile we are looking for :

- You have a bachelor's degree or higher in chemical engineering or a related field with more than 5 years' professional experience in operations management in the chemical industry or a related industry.
- You have a sound knowledge of the chemical industry and a strong sense of HSE and quality.
- You are fluent in English and Mandarin.
- You have excellent written and oral communication skills. 
- You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
- You have strong leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- You are a strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
