Crackless Monomer Company, a joint venture between Bostik and Taiwanese company Cartell Chemical Co, a leading supplier of cyanoacrylate solutions to accelerate the development and production of high value-added engineering adhesives.


At Crackles Monomer Company we design, develop and manufacture advanced, user-friendly fast reacting monomers for instant adhesives. CMC produce specialty cyanoacrylate monomers on an industrial scale at a competitive cost to accelerate the development of high value-added engineering adhesives dedicated notably to the electronics, medical equipment and DIY markets.

Our products are designed for consumer, professional craftsmen and industrial markets. We produce and pack-age under our own and our customer brands and offer specialized high purity monomers in bulk. 

What will be your key responsibilities?

Reporting directly to the Bostik Corporate R&D Director you will be acting as owner to lead, teach and coordinate sustainability, development and product opportunities. You will be managing a team of 3 experienced PhDs




•    Coordinate R&D activities to support the business grow
•    Ensure full utilization of resources to accelerate time to market for projects
•    Develop and implement technology roadmaps with other stakeholders (marketing, business, purchasing, operations)
•    Work with key contacts within the Arkema Group to ensure opportunities for synergies

As such, your main responsibilities:

•    Manage research and development activities oriented to new cyanoacrylate (CA) monomers synthesis & evaluation in mixture and formulation;
•    Develop innovative production techniques & purification of CA, development of stabilization packages and final product characterization. Experienced in documentation (COA, TDS, SDS …) aiming products commercialization;
•    Establish, milestone and set goals of projects inclusive of product scalability up to final product readiness for commercialization;
•    Preserve leadership in cyanoacrylate monomer chemistry and manufacturing. Development of new cyanoacrylate adhesive formulation or blend based on different acrylics monomers and other additives;
•    Coordinate scaling-up activities, follow-up production manufacturing quality and support for continuous improvement in production;
•    Customer interaction experience: sales and business development activities will be part of the job;  

This position requires regular international travel (up to 20%).



The profile we are looking for: 


You have a degree in chemical engineering, engineering, PhD in chemistry or equivalent and particularly in the field of monomers, polymer science with focus on acrylics and/or cyanoacrylates. 

A first experience in process engineering, industrial projects scale up in a similar position would be a plus. You have a good knowledge of industrial principles. 
Well organized and analytical, you are able to adapt and work with different entities of Bostik within the Arkema Group. 

Good facilitation skills, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities is necessary for this role. Customer oriented and capable to coordinate people activities as well as to work well in an interdisciplinary team environment. 

You enjoy teamwork in a multi-national environment workplace. 
Must demonstrate excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Spanish would be a plus.
